Rubber Ducky 7

November 12, 2013

A fairly decent Wellington zephyr for paddlers last evening. The Cobham Drive / Marina course was great for the downwind legs of the four lap course and a bit hairy getting from Greta Point and back for some paddlers.

Real improvement across the paddlers now noticeable in these Tuesday night races, both in time to paddle and technique –  great to see. This week Glenn Muirhead in K1 moved through the field off back mark and took out line honours with James Flannery on ski only a minute behind, which is a great paddle. Really interesting race amongst the three women paddlers with it being close between Annabel Ramsay, Dianne Morgan and Kim Daubney for the first two laps and the Annabel was able to shake Dianne on the fourth and last to take line honours. Other good paddles from Ian Gillies, second across line on ski and Andrew Bluck in his swallow powering home. For full results of this race and all races to date see results tab ….
