The doubles put everyone to the sword this week with 3 of the top 5 places going to the twosomes lead by Mark Hearfield and Dave Della Barrca crossing the line first. Splitting them were Glen Muirhead and James Flannery before another two doubles. Not far behind Kris Jarvis powered home and clearly brought back the Hawaii type balmy evening weather for this race with Fiona Dowling again paddling well into second.
It great to see so many paddlers improving over the past few weeks and even though there are some light hearted grumbles the handicappers are getting it just about right. Have a look at the results and you will see we had half Tuesdays field over a 2 minute spread and for another interesting fact we have had a total of 91 paddlers racing to date, thats 53 different singles and 38 in doubles – the 38 doubles were excluded from the singles numbers.
