2010 NZ 10km champs – beat the late fee

September 19, 2010

Just under a week to go until we host the NZ 10km champs on Porirua harbour on behalf of CRNZ. If you are thinking of entering, then now would be a good time to do so as the late fee applies after Wednesday 22nd.

If you’re undecided, then perhaps you would like to know that there will be two races on the day. One race in the morning for single kayaks and one in the afternoon for team boats. The events are open to surf ski’s, multisport kayaks, sea kayaks, waka ama, K1’s, K2’s, K4’s, adventure racing doubles and double ski’s. If you can paddle it then you can race it on Saturday.
You might also like to know that there will be a few spot prizes to give away including, among other things, a Rasdex PFD valued at $289 kindly provided by Canoe & Kayak here in Wellington. We have a great venue lined up for a prize giving and chin wag following the day’s racing.
The long range forecast looks great for Saturday, mind you we were supposed to have a storm in Wellington this weekend and the weather has been fantastic.
By the way, if you are planning to do the first race and are also interested in the team boat race but are without team, then just let us know when you enter. We can probably hook you up with a team. The more the merrier.
At this stage all of the planning is coming along nicely. Now we just need your entry. For more information, check out the NZ 10K champs poster and further details on the 10k Entry Form.
